Overview
A 2-day tour is the classic and most efficient way to experience the cultural heart of the Sacred Valley and the breathtaking wonder of Machu Picchu. By spending a night in Aguas Calientes, you avoid a rushed, single-day trip from Cusco and get to see the sunrise over the citadel .
Itinerary
The first day is dedicated to exploring the most iconic sites of the Sacred Valley as you travel towards the gateway to Machu Picchu.
· 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. | Pick-up in Cusco: Your private vehicle or minibus will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin the tour.
· 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | Sightseeing in the Valley: You will make stops at key points such as:
· Viewpoints: Brief stops to enjoy panoramic views of the valley and the Andes Mountains, such as the Taray Viewpoint or Cristo Blanco (White Christ).
· Pisac: You will visit the impressive Inca ruins atop the mountain and then descend to the colorful artisan market in the town.

* 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Maras, Moray, and Ollantaytambo: In the afternoon, continue your adventure:
* Maras Salt Mines: See thousands of terraces of white and pink salt, a unique visual spectacle.
* Moray: Explore this fascinating Inca agricultural laboratory with its enormous circular terraces.
* Ollantaytambo: Take a guided tour of the enormous Inca fortress and temple, and walk through its cobblestone streets, one of the few living Inca cities.
* 4:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. | Transfer to Aguas Calientes: You will go to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours) to Aguas Calientes, the town at the foot of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, a representative will take you to your hotel for the night.
The big day begins very early to make the most of your visit to this wonder of the world.
· 4:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. | Ascent to Machu Picchu: After an early breakfast at the hotel, you will head to the bus station to take the first bus that winds its way up the mountain to the entrance of the citadel. The journey takes about 25-30 minutes.
· 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. | Guided Tour: You will present your ticket at the entrance gate (with your assigned time) and enter Machu Picchu. A professional guide will take you on an approximately 2-hour tour of the most important areas, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Main Plaza, and the Temple of the Condor, explaining the history and energy of the site.
· 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. | Free Time: After the tour, you'll have time to continue exploring on your own, take classic photos, or, if you booked months in advance, hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain.
1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | Return to Cusco: You'll take a bus down to Aguas Calientes. You'll have time for lunch before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo in the afternoon. Once in Ollantaytambo, a bus or vehicle from the agency will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco, arriving around 8:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m.

- Breakfast: Breakfast on the second day is included at the hotel in Aguas Calientes.

- Return Transportation: A tourist van will take you back from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.

In order to book the Machu Picchu & Sacred Valley 2-day tour with us, you need to click the Book Now button above, then select the date of your departure, then fill out all the personal information of each participant, and the last step is the payment which you can do with credit card or debit card. Please, send us only the deposit.
Once we receive your deposit, we will need Pictures of the Passport of each participant because they are required when buying a Machu Picchu train ticket.
When your Machu Picchu tickets are in our hands, we will send you a confirmation that everything is 100% organized. All start dates, once confirmed, are guaranteed.
According to Peruvian Law, you have to be under 18 years old at the time of your visit to Machu Picchu (if you are 18 or over, you need valid student cards). Below is a sample of a valid student card

Yes, we can still arrange your trip to Machu Picchu. In the event that tickets for your preferred date are sold out, we will adjust your tour to a two-day Machu Picchu itinerary as follows:
On the first day, we will pick you up from Cusco at 3:00 AM. You will take the earliest train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, arriving at approximately 6:40 AM. Upon arrival, you will proceed directly to the Machu Picchu office to obtain your queue ticket. In the afternoon, you will need to return to the office to purchase your official Machu Picchu entrance ticket using your queue ticket.
Essentially, the first day will be dedicated to securing your Machu Picchu entrance ticket, and the visit to Machu Picchu itself will take place the following day. The exact schedule and the circuit you will visit depend on availability.
Our guide will assist you in purchasing the ticket in person. The price for this tour is $370 per person.
Please note that while we guarantee you will obtain a Machu Picchu entrance ticket by taking the first train, we cannot guarantee which circuit will be assigned to you.
Yes! You must bring your original passport and it is very important that it should be the same passport you sent us to reserve your Machu Picchu ticket. Your passport will be checked at the Machu Picchu checkpoint when you board the train.
If you are renewing your passport, go ahead and email us a copy of your old passport to book your Machu Picchu ticket. If you no longer have your old passport, any government issue ID will be accepted, as long as the name is the same. Once you receive your new passport. Please email us a copy of your new passport ASAP to change the information on your ticket.
It depends on the availability of Machu Picchu entrance tickets. Our priority is always to secure Circuit 2, as this circuit allows visitors to explore the majority of the citadel.
If Circuit 2 tickets are sold out, we will send you an email providing alternative options. In this case, we will suggest purchasing two tickets: Circuit 1, Route 1B, which allows you to obtain the classic panoramic photograph of Machu Picchu, and Circuit 3, Route 3B, which covers the lower part of the citadel, including the main temples, principal plazas, agricultural terraces, and storage areas.
